Our Social(ism) Conscience Is Pricked...

Christ, here goes another one - The Spitz is in grave danger of being "redeveloped" later this year. So that means this year we'll have lost Hammersmith Palais, the Astoria will still be in serious danger from either "development" or the Crossrail train system(and, with that, the Mean Fiddler - lets face it, its the same building) and the Garage still hasn't re-opened. I mean - some perspective - where the fuck am I supposed to go to get a warm flat pint in a plastic glass and hear some badly dressed jerk-off wailing away while I wait for the main band???? Seriously though, would be a nightmare if any more of these venues bite the dust - The Spitz is a brilliant venue, also it really is just the tip of the iceberg.
