Our New Favourite Band. Ever.

Not sure whether we're late on these bad boys or not, but this is possibly one of the greatest videos I have ever witnessed. Thanks to Biddy for bringing it to my attention and making a wet Thursday morning, sat in the Socialism offices counting the minutes til pub time.

Honorary Socialist Of The Month

Producer Dallas Austin has made some fantastic records over the years - records with TLC, Madonna, Jacko, Sugababes Vs Girls Aloud - all the greats basically. He has also recently made a couple of videos where he rants about how a load of today's biggest female stars are a bunch of skanky ho's who are "fucking for tracks". His monologues are totally deranged and possibly weren't meant for public consumption. Oh well, you can always blame the cheeky old internet, but here he goes, putting the world to rights...

  • And lest we forget his dramatic exit from Dubai last year...

    Sad Day For Rock...

Justin Hawkins was cruely robbed of the chance to win Eurovision glory for Britian last night. Scooch will now take the UK to the inevitable 'nil points' in Finland. Here is a reminder of Hawkins' genius, his cover of Sparks classic "This Town Ain't Big Enough For The Both Of Us", which is definitely not the sound of a man clawing at the edges of sanity whilst gakked out of his tiny mind. Good attitude!

    Stop Press...

The all star indie tribute to the life and times of John Inman has been confirmed for next month. A full scale, Live Aid style production of "Mother Goose" will be held in London next month with a cast of thousands. Socialism will be first with all the news! Musical supervisor - Alex Kapranos.
Tributes continue to pour in to Socialism to the greatest panto dame of them all, John Inman. None were more thought provoking than this from Campag Velocet.

    He's Free

We were hoping by now to have run Bobby Gillespie's deeply heartfelt tribute to one of the United Kingdom's greatest all round entertainers, John Inman, who sadly passed away yesterday. Please check back for updates later.

The Real Princess Of Wales Is Pregnant!!

Socialism salutes our very favourite Welsh woman, Charlotte Church and her bloke, Gavin Henson, who have announced that they're due to have a kid later this year. As a Welshman, the day after Saint David's Day, the day I'm going to see Gruff play live, this fills me with national pride. Also, pretty amazed it took her so long. Most people I went to school with were popping kids by 17. Anyways, hats off!
